Quick start
- Open a ChatGPT conversation containing generated images.
- Open the extension.
- Review and approve the initial local scan disclosure.
- Select images, rescan the page, or use Deep Scan when appropriate.
- Edit filenames if necessary.
- Choose Download selected, Download all, or ZIP export.
- Keep the popup open while ZIP processing is active.
Troubleshooting
No images detected
Confirm that the active tab is a ChatGPT conversation containing generated images. Refresh the conversation, reopen the extension, and use Rescan. Interface artwork and small icons are intentionally excluded.
Some prompts are unavailable
Older ChatGPT messages may not be loaded even when their images remain visible. Try Deep Scan. You can still export with fallback filenames and optionally create placeholder prompt files.
Deep Scan did not recover historical prompts
Deep Scan can only collect messages that ChatGPT makes available to the current page. A partial recovery status means some historical prompts could not be loaded; it does not indicate that content was sent elsewhere.
Generic filenames such as chatgpt-image
A generic filename is used when no reliable prompt match is available. Edit the filename in the extension before exporting.
Image URL expired
Refresh the ChatGPT conversation and run Rescan to obtain the latest available image URL, then retry the export.
ZIP process was interrupted
Keep the popup open until ZIP creation finishes. Reopen the extension, review the selected images and start the ZIP again.
Download permission was blocked
Allow downloads when Chrome prompts. Individual batch downloads may trigger Chrome’s multiple-download confirmation.
Settings appear incorrect
Open Settings, review ZIP and filename options, then close and reopen the popup. Settings are stored locally in Chrome extension storage.
How to clear locally cached prompt mappings
Open Settings and choose either Clear data for this conversation or Clear all locally cached prompt mappings.
How to report an issue
